IO is a true web-based system, enabling users to complete data administration on site immediately after delivery, producing real time statistics even across wide geographical areas.

• Cost effective system maintenance - updates are easily handled as there is no need for client side software

• Higher level of flexibility in terms of accessing the system as all you need is to be able to access the internet

• Complete data security with 'internet banking level' HTTPS connection and two-factor authentication if required. No data is stored locally so the risks of compromising personal details are greatly reduced

• We can even host the system for you if up-front infrastructure costs are a barrier

Our Approach

What makes IO different is the level of understanding organisations can gain about the impact of the support they are providing.

We don't focus on statutory outputs as the sole purpose to the system; IO is first and foremost a tool to help organisations manage their activity and ultimately use it as a vehicle to deliver the most effective support to young people.

The system is highly configurable so that it can be tailored to fit the processes you use and the terminology you are familiar with. Menu items are customisable, field names can be edited where appropriate and drop down lists can be set up exactly to your requirements whilst still being tied to the reporting frameworks used in the various statutory reports.

Our Experience

CogniSoft has over 25 years experience of producing highly sophisticated tracking and database solutions for a range of industry sectors.

• CogniSoft were instrumental in the initial design and specification of the CCIS system, as one of the pilot organisations. IO continues to be a leading CCIS and NCCIS compliant database and we contribute to the ongoing development of the CCIS system.

• The addition of Youth Services modules to the IO system led to us being the first integrated web based IYSS system back in 2005.

• 9 Scottish Local Authorities use IO to manage their Community Learning and Development work and the system is used at a national level by Careers Scotland. IO's flexibility fits well with the varied work CLD teams do and we understand the issues the service providers face in Scotland.

• Local Regeneration Agencies in and around Glasgow use the IO system to manage their employability pathways work and this again is thanks to our understanding of the issues along with the IO system's flexibility.
