REPORTING TO: Head of Sales and Marketing
LOCATION: Based in Sale, Cheshire + customer site visits
HOURS: 8.5 hours per day including 1 hour lunch break. Core business hours are 9am‑5:30pm (4pm on Fridays)
HOLIDAYS: Initially 23 days (incl. Christmas)
OTHER: A successful enhanced DBS check isrequired

OVERVIEW

CogniSoft provides case management software to UK government funded organisations such as local authorities, private training organisations and companies who specialise in apprenticeship training and getting people back into work UK wide. 

We are a growing business with a young, friendly and dynamic team. Revenues are increasing around 10% a year on average and we have regularly win major contracts with strong repeat revenue, meaning the company is in a strong position and our growth is set to accelerate.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Working as a part of the sales team, the Sales Support is responsible for generating, qualifying and follow-up of new business leads, providing administrative support to the sales & marketing team and pre-sales client support.

This is a varied role and daily tasks will include:

  • Telephone based research, lead generation and sales campaigns
  • Provide internal support to the sales team
  • Follow-up activities for Sales consultant
  • Answer inbound sales enquiries and liaise with relevant salesperson
  • Maintenance of sales database
  • Provide support for external events and exhibitions
  • Keep eye on incoming Tenders
  • Help with simple tender documentation
  • Support in production of sales reports
  • Data cleansing and support for CRM
  • Support the development of sales literature and documents for information, advice and guidance.
  •  Pre-sales marketing support
  • Attending the main sector conferences and exhibitions when required

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can be pro-active in this role and is looking to start a career in Sales. Their success will depend on being able to actively manage their time and work well with colleagues to support and drive sales.

Due to the continued growth, we have a new opportunity for a Senior Software Developer to join our growing in-house IT team based in Sale, Manchester.

Working as part of our busy Development Team, you will work within an agile team to develop and maintain our industry leading web applications. Our ideal candidate will be driven, motivated, and keen to grow their skills and progress within the company.

This is a varied role and daily tasks will include:

  • Development of ASP.NET Web Forms web applications
  • Writing high performing SQL queries
  • Adherence to ISO27001 security requirements
  • Integration with third party systems via API’s
  • Designing software solutions to customer requirements
