LOCATION:Based in Sale, Cheshire + customer site visits
HOURS:8.5 hours per day including 1 hour lunch break. Core business hours are 9am‑5:30pm (4pm on Fridays)
HOLIDAYS:Initially 23 days (incl. Christmas)

OVERVIEW

CogniSoft provides case management software to UK government funded organisations such as local authorities, private training organisations and companies who specialise in apprenticeship training and getting people back into work UK wide.

We are a growing business with a young, friendly and dynamic team. Revenues are increasing around 10% a year on average and we have regularly win major contracts with strong repeat revenue, meaning the company is in a strong position and our growth is set to accelerate.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Working as a part of the sales team, the Sales Support is responsible for generating, qualifying and follow-up of new business leads, providing administrative support to the sales & marketing team and pre-sales client support.

This is a varied role and daily tasks will include:

  • Telephone based research, lead generation and sales campaigns
  • Provide internal support to the sales team
  • Follow-up activities for Sales consultant
  • Answer inbound sales enquiries and liaise with relevant salesperson
  • Maintenance of sales database
  • Provide support for external events and exhibitions
  • Keep eye on incoming Tenders
  • Help with simple tender documentation
  • Support in production of sales reports
  • Data cleansing and support for CRM
  • Support the development of sales literature and documents for information, advice and guidance.
  •  Pre-sales marketing support
  • Attending the main sector conferences and exhibitions when required

OVERVIEW

As an Application Support Consultant, you will be responsible for providing application support to external customers and assisting them with our web-based software via the telephone or by email.  The role involves answering application queries in line with Skills sector business knowledge, diagnosing issues and testing new releases as well as supporting databases, servers and cloud solutions.  Taking ownership of users’ issues, you will ensure that a high level of customer service is delivered at all times. Responding to enquires in an efficient and friendly manner, you will help to resolve practical issues and software problems and refer escalated issues to our software developers whilst still maintaining the running of the support job.

The role is ideally suited to those with an IT backgroundMI specialists or DBAs wishing to broaden their role or those individuals who have worked within the Skills sector who may be looking for a change in direction, as the role also requires the successful candidate to gain an excellent knowledge of our customers’ business area.

We will provide full in-house training and support on the application to ensure you are knowledgeable and comfortable in assisting our customers.

This is also the ideal opportunity for a customer-focused professional, interested in IT or interest with databases or internal support of Learner Management systems.

Skills and Background Required

To be considered, we are looking for the following experience:
• Experience in a customer facing/customer service role

• An IT qualification with knowledge of SQL

• SQL Database Servers / Server side experience / Cloud environments

• Experience with SFA (Skills Funding Agency), Learning and Skills or DWP Welfare to Work contracts would be desirable but not essential

As an Application Support Consultant, you should have the ability and desire to rapidly learn and pick up new systems and skills. Methodical and analytical, you must have a keen eye for detail, superb problem-solving abilities and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction at all times. The ability to manage and prioritise your workload effectively is also key.

Some additional aspects of the role will include:

• SQL knowledge

• Knowledge of secure systems

• Working in a structured environment including ITIL

• SQL Database servers

• Cloud technologies

• Web servers • CogniSoft IO & YETI software 

• Understanding of ESFA funding rules or experience within a training provider
Any additional knowledge in the above areas will be considered advantageous.
