Groundwork is a UK-wide charity focused on improving lives, communities, and environments through training, education, employability support and community learning programmes. Their initiatives include skills training, employment support, and opportunities for personal and community development, often working in partnership with public and private funders.

To support their work, Groundwork adopted CogniSoft’s YETI as their learner management system. The system supports multiple programmes and helps keep track of learner progression, outcomes and contract reporting across different strands of activity.

The Challenge

Prior to using YETI, Groundwork relied on spreadsheets to track learner progression. A system that had become cumbersome and inefficient as the volume and complexity of data grew. Reporting was time-consuming and generating insights across different programmes (skills training, community learning, employability support) was difficult. They needed a centralised, cloud-based solution with data management, integrated reminders and better reporting capability to improve general operations and maintain compliance with funding requirements.

YETI offered Groundwork a system that allowed them to manage learner progression, course enrolments, outcomes and reporting all in one platform. The system’s built-in alerts combined with electronic forms and flexible modules, replaced the manual spreadsheetbased process.
